Bergen Performing Arts Center is proud to present Grammy Nominated and critically acclaimed singer, Sophie B. Hawkins as Janis Joplin in ROOM 105 on Saturday February 23, 2013 at 8PM. Acclaimed filmmaker Gigi Gaston's ROOM 105-a new musical show starring Grammy-nominated Sophie B. Hawkins-is a thoughtful and entertaining tribute to legendary soul singer Janis Joplin.

The show is a humorous, engaging, bittersweet, intimate and honest musical confessional. Janis brings the audience into her world and her life, and teases viewers about aspects of modern day pop culture, of which she is privy.

A modern-day retrospective on Joplin's turbulent life, telling a story that reveals the iconic singer's thoughts on love, sex, fame and belonging. Tickets for this show goes on sale Friday November 2nd at 11am at Ticketmaster.com or by calling the box office at (201) 227-1030. Ever since singer Sophie B. Hawkins broke through with her 1992 hit "Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover," fans and critics have been comparing her to the late Janis Joplin.

ROOM 105 will take place at Bergen Performing Arts Center on Saturday February 23, 2013, at 8pm. Ticket prices vary from $79 to $29 and may be purchased at www.bergenpac.org or www.ticketmaster.com.
