Ted Neeley to Lead Netherlands Production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, December

Sold out venues, minute-long standing ovations and rave reactions from press and public. The international rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar conquered tens of thousands of hearts during the performances in the Netherlands in December 2015. By special request of Ted Neeley, the spectacular rock opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice wil return to the Netherlands one last time. A unique opportunity to see 73-year-old Ted Neeley perform the role of his life.

Neeley want to return to Netherlands

All performances of Jesus Christ Superstar were completely sold out last year. Fans have Ted Neeley followed back home to the USA and begged him to return to the Netherlands once more. Producer TEC Entertainment was also overwhelmed with requests for Jesus Christ Superstar to return to the Netherlands. Producer Marc Muller is very happy that he can announce in the week before Easter that Jesus Christ Superstar, with Ted Neeley playing the title role, will come back to the Netherlands at the end of this year. " Given all the positive reactions to Jesus Christ Superstar we have decide to bring this international production of Jesus Christ Superstar back to the Netherlands. We will give all the fans the unique opportunity to see living legend Ted Neeley shine in the role of a life time."

Ted Neeley is already looking forward to his return to the Netherlands: "I am very happy with the way the Dutch audience have taken the beautiful rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar into their hearts. The response last December was incredibly heart warming. I am looking forward to returning to the Netherlands and meeting all the fans yet again. We will start our tour at the rock temple, the Heineken Music Hall, where rock stars such as Van Morrison, Simple Minds and Joe Cocker have all performed before us, which makes it very special for me! The world famous rock opera tells the story of the last week in the life of Jesus as seen through the eyes of his best friend and betrayer Judas. The musical masterpiece by Andrew Lloyd Webber, the poignant lyrics of Tim Rice and unique rendition of Ted Neeley constitute an unforgettable experience, which is supported by thirty cast members and a live orchestra. Jesus Christ Superstar is a gripping story that is still contemporary, with great songs like "I Don't Know How To Love Him ',' Superstar'and the phenomenal' Gethsemane '. This large-scale English-language production of Jesus Chris Superstar is directed by the Italian director Massimo Piparo and is inspired by the 1973 film version of Jesus Christ Superstar, which starred Ted Neeley in the title role.

TEC Entertainment will bring this spectacular special production later this year to venues in Amsterdam, The Hague, Groningen and Antwerp (Belgium).
