As part of its Southern Exposure Series, which features new and classic literature by Southern writers with Southern inspiration, Tennessee Shakespeare Company this summer introduces two very special Literary Salons hosted by Memphis' newest Irish restaurant and by one of the city's great patrons of the arts.

Join us at the cooling hour of 6:00 pm for cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, live music, and some of the best words ever written. Elegant, intimate, and cool as a mint julep in shaved ice.

Of Ireland Born features legendary Irish star of stage and screen Bosco Hogan reading from Yeats, Synge, O'Connor, and more on June 10 from 6:00-8:00pm at Memphis' Authentic Irish Pub The Brass Door downtown. Mr. Hogan is the star of such recent series and films as The Tudors, The Borgias, and In the Name of the Father. The evening also features the live, traditional Irish music of Robert Johnson and John Albertson.

Mark Twain at Twilight on July 22 from 6:00-8:00pm features Memphis Grizzlies television play-by-play announcer and ardent Twain fan Pete Pranica in a delightfully witty evening of American humor. Hosted by Milton T. Schaeffer in and around his luxurious Germantown residence recently featured in Memphis Magazine, the evening is also enlivened by live ragtime music.

Tickets are $55 per event, or $100 for both. Your ticket buys you light appetizers, cocktails, live music, our star of the evening, and literature beyond compare. Seating is extremely limited. Tickets are now on sale while they last. Program subject to change.

To purchase tickets today, call the TSC Box Office at 901-759-0604 or go online at www.tnshakespeare.org.
