Ghost of the Blues recently announced that Mud Morganfield, the eldest son of Muddy Waters, from Chicago, IL, was contracted as a principal player in the blues revue.

R. Norbert Knight, the show's producer, stated, "Mud Morganfield is rapidly becoming a true 'blues legend' in his own right, and will be playing the part of his father in our production."

Morganfield won the BMA for "Best Traditional Album" in 2015. "We are pleased that he can cut his European tour short and join us in Memphis," stated Knight.

Morganfield is an authentic blues man whose pedigree came to him through the DNA of the biggest legend of the blues.

Ghost of the Blues will appear at the Orpheum Theatre on Friday, May 6th, 2016 at 7:00 PM. If it was possible to write a love letter to the blues, this would be it. With a cast steeped in the tradition of the blues, a deeply emotional bond is formed with the performers and the audience by the music. A visceral musical connection is created that hits people in the gut like a blues sledgehammer. On a journey through blues history with Robert Johnson, Etta James, Little Walter, and the other great blues legends, the audience is immersed in a shared experience of the sheer joy of the music.

Tickets are available for purchase online at the official Orpheum Theatre website, www.orpheum-memphis.com, The Orpheum Box Office (901.525.3000), the ticket counter at The Booksellers at Laurelwood, and all Ticketmaster centers (901.743.ARTS).
