City Theater in Biddeford will be opening their 2014-15 season with Agatha Christie's classic murder mystery The Mousetrap, opening tonight, October 24th. This is an evening of intrigue that you will not want to miss, from the most celebrated mystery writer in the world, which culminates with one of the theatre's closely guarded secrets! The Mousetrap has been running for 62 years on London's West End making it the longest running play in recorded history.

Mysterious twists and thrilling turns abound when a group of strangers stranded in a guest house during a snowstorm discover that a murderer is in their midst. Whodunnit? Is it one of the suspicious newlyweds (Played by Rebecca Cole and Charlie Cole of Windham) or the spinster with the curious background (played by Ellen Wassell of Biddeford)? Perhaps it's the odd young architect (played by Andrew Lamb of Springvale), or the retired Army major (played by Timothy James of Gorham), the enigmatic Miss Casewell (played by Kelsie Camire of Saco), or is it the unexpected stranger (played by Tad Williams of Biddeford). Detective Sargent Trotter (Played by Kirk Boettcher of Portland) arrives to track down the killer. In an evening of exhilarating intrigue, Agatha Christie's greatest mystery unfolds to a surprising conclusion.

Since the play's inception, each audience seeing The Mousetrap, is asked to take a pledge not to talk about the ending of the play, allowing future audiences the opportunity to experience the play just as those at the 1952 opening did.
