Some Theatre Company is thrilled to announce that it has secured the theatrical rights to Evil Dead the Musical, and will produce the Maine premiere as their inaugural production.

Evil Dead - The Musical, the hilarious, record-breaking Canadian musical (created by George Reinblatt, Frank Cipolla, Melissa Morris and Christopher Bond) tells the outrageous story of five college friends spending Spring break vacation in an abandoned cabin in the woods. After accidentally unleashing an evil force that turns them all into demons, the hero of the hour, Ash, must find a way to try save his friends before time runs out. The original production, based on the Evil Dead film franchise, opened 11 years ago in Toronto and enjoyed an immensely popular run, with sold-out houses and rave reviews from critics.

With an all-star cast of seasoned local actors who bring a plethora of skills to the table, and a creative team that are known in the area for their incredible, and often beautifully unusual, production values and aesthetics, this is slated to be a sure fire winner for this brand new theatre company.

Tickets to the production will go on sale in mid-October and will be available online, and at the door. For more information about this production visit the theatre's website www.sometheatrecompany.com
