Penobscot Theatre Company presents the world premiere of Travis Baker's award winning new comedy, One Blue Tarp from tonight, January 30 - February 16, in the historic Bangor Opera House.

One Blue Tarp is the story of a man, his tarp and the town that wants to take it away from him. A comedy set in the small, coastal town of Clara, One Blue Tarp centers on the conflict between individual freedom and civic responsibility as well as economic development and time-honored traditions.

This lighthearted examination of home, place, progress, and the way life "should" be was first written and developed for PTC's 2010 Northern Writes New Play Festival; named Best Play for the State of Maine in the 2013 Clauder New England Playwright Competition.
