Laurel Casillo made her Broadway debut in Act One in 2014. Since then she has starred in two Good Theater productions: The Rainmaker as Lizzie in the fall of 2014, and as Marina Oswald in the world premiere of Mama's Boy this past fall in 2015.

Laurel will offer a talk on Act One's Road to Broadway on Friday April 15 at 6:00 at the theater. This talk is free and open to the public. She will watch the Friday evening performance of Act One, and then immediately following the show, she and the Good Theater cast members, will offer a talk back with the audience.

This is a great opportunity for Maine audiences to hear from someone who was part of the Broadway production of ACT ONE and then see the show in its unique Good Theater staging.

Good Theater received two grants to help produce Act One from the Davis Family Foundation and from the Maine Community Foundation. Part of the grant moneys from these two organization is being used for out-reach programs to coincide with the run of Act One.

Good Theater is the first theater in the country to present the show since its Broadway debut. Act One is the largest play in Good Theater's history with 14 actors, playing 60 roles in 30 scenes of the two-hour production. Act One is written by James Lapine from the autobiography by Moss Hart.

For tickets to Act One, patrons may call the box-office at 207-885-5883 or go to the company's website at www.goodtheater.com . Tickets range in price from $22-$30 depending upon the day.

Act One stars Thomas Campbell, Chris Davis, Betsy Melarkey Dunphy, Paul Haley, Meredith Lamothe, Conor Riordan Martin, Allison McCall, Halim Moldaver, Tony Reilly, Amy Roche, Mark Rubin, Lisa Stathoplos, William Oliver Watkins and Michael Wood. Brian P. Allen directs the production. Michael Lynch is the production stage manager. Steve Underwood designed the set with Craig Robinson as Technical Director and Cheryl Dolan as scenic artist. Justin Cote designed the costumes and Iain Odlin is the lighting designer. Griff Kimball is the assistant stage manager.

Other events associated with the run of Act One include a general audience talk back with the cast on Thursday April 14 immediately following the performance and a talk on the life of Moss Hart on Sunday April 24 at noon.
