GODSPELL to Play Two Shows Only at Maine State Music Theatre, 7/28

Maine State Music Theatre presents the hit Broadway show Godspell for two shows only on July 28th at 2:00pm and 7:30pm.

Godspell, based loosely on the Gospels and parables of Jesus, remains one of the most popular rock musicals of all time and features a breathtaking score by Stephen Schwartz, including hits such as "Day by Day," "God Save the People," "By My Side," and "Turn Back, O' Man."

MSMT Intern Kevin Nietzel and local performer Cameron Wright (of Gorham) lead the show as Jesus and Judas, respectively. The supporting cast of GODSPELL features local actors Melissa Bills (of Gorham), Eileen Hanley (of Gorham), Danielle Lane (of Gorham), Tommy Waltz (of South Portland), Reid Watson (of Gorham), Matthew West (of Gorham), and Alec Cohen (of Falmouth), and interns Jessica Lawyer, Jennifer Maurer, Dylan Cole Passman, Zoe Raphael, Tara Lynn Steele, and Andrew Winans.

Directed by MSMT Artistic Director, Curt Dale Clark, the show is produced entirely by the 2014 MSMT Intern Company.

"The audience not only gets to see an amazing, high-energy show with Godspell, they'll also experience Broadway's future stars, both on and off the stage," said Clark.
