City Theater proudly presents You Can't Take it With You by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman today, May 16th - May 25th.

This 1937 Pulitzer Prize winner by Kaufman and Hart is one of the funniest and most endearing plays of modern times. Mayhem ensues when Tony Kirby, attractive Wall Street banker, and Alice Sycamore, granddaughter in a family of lovable eccentrics, fall in love and Tony brings his parents to dine at the Sycamore home... on the wrong evening. The Kirbys are challenged by the happy madness of the Sycamores, through a visit by an ex-Grand Duchess (who earns her living as a waitress), despite a father who makes fireworks in the basement, and a Grandpa under investigation for tax evasion. Set in the aftermath of difficult economic times, this classic play speaks well to modern audiences, who wrestle with many similar questions and issues.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2:00 PM. Tickets are $20 and are available at https://www.citytheatertix.org/webtiks/webtiks.asp. Buy your tickets online 24/7 and get the best choice of seats!

All performances are at the City Theater's Salle de l'Opera, 205 Main Street Biddeford, ME 04005.
