Highland Hills Middle School presents THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE JR. Highland Hills Middle School students will present THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE JR. on April 15th at 7 pm, April 16th at 2 and 7 pm, and April 17th at 2 pm at Highland Hills Middle School Auditorium (3492 Edwardsville Galena Road, Georgetown, IN 47122).

There 34 students in the cast, 27 students in the crew, and they are ages 10 to 13.

Based on a 1967 George Roy Hill film that featured Julie Andrews, Mary Tyler Moore, and Carol Channing (which was itself based on a 1956 West End musical titled Chrysanthemum), THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE JR. follows the adventures of a young woman from Salina, Kansas, as she tries make her way as an actress in Jazz Age New York City.

The musical -- featuring a book by Richard Henry Morris, music by Jeanine Tesori and new lyrics by Dick Scanlan -- opened on Broadway in 2002, and went on to win six Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Tickets are $10 for adults/seniors, $5 for students and children 12 and under and will be available for purchase at the door for each performance, cash or check only.
