Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Kevin E. Moore are delighted to announce Fifth Third Bank's A Christmas Carol, based on the book by Charles Dickens, adapted by Barbara Field and directed by Drew Fracher. Dickens' classic tale of hope and redemption finds extraordinary new life in Actors Theatre's joyous staging. Celebrate the splendor of the holidays with this spectacular production brimming with festive fun, soaring ghosts and cheerful carols that will charm audiences of all ages. A Christmas Carol will preview November 22 and November 23, openNovember 25 and run through December 23 in the Pamela Brown Auditorium.

Actors Theatre has celebrated the holidays with this treasured classic for more than 40 seasons, making this the second longest continuously-running production of A Christmas Carol in the country. Locally, it's been cherished by generations of families who attend each season, creating holiday memories that last a lifetime.

Actors Theatre is delighted to welcome Drew Fracher back to direct Dickens' tale for the sixth consecutive year. Previously, Fracher directed two seasons of A Christmas Story and A Tuna Christmas, and appeared as Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol. Former resident company member WilLiam McNulty returns as Scrooge in what will now be his 15th consecutive season in the role. He is joined by returning talents Celina Dean as Mrs. Cratchit, Shanara Gabrielle as the Narrator, and former Acting Apprentice Taylor Abelsas Mrs. Fezziwig. Lauren Hirte also returns as The Ghost of Christmas Past, having debuted at Actors Theatre in the role during the 2011 Carol production, and 2015-2016 Acting Apprentice Alumni Lisa Boland Amelia Windom appear for the first time as Mrs. Grigsby and Belle, respectively. Making their A Christmas Carol debuts are DeMone as The Ghost of Christmas Present and Mr. Fezziwig, Jason Martinas Marley, James Seol as Bob Cratchit, Jason Veasey as Fred, and Whit K. Lee as the Fiddler. They are joined by members of Actors Theatre's 2016-2017 Professional Training Company: Andrew Cutler,Jenn Geiger, Daniel Johnson, Kelsey Johnson, Elijah Jones, Kevin Kantor, Sam Kotansky,Anna Lentz, Alexandra Milak, Jake Sabinsky, Anne-Marie Trabolsi, and Sam Wisenden. In addition, this production includes eight young local actors: Nathan Bukowski, Elise Coughlin, Zander Essex, Annalise Finch, Kate Hall, Austin Ramirez, Bailey Ramirez, and Vaughn Ramirez.

Actors Theatre's production of A Christmas Carol is a design tour de force, featuring scenic design byAntje Ellermann (Long Day's Journey into Night, Appropriate), costume design by Kristopher Castle(Macbeth, For Peter Pan on her 70th birthday), lighting design by Thomas Hase (A Christmas Carol), sound design by Matt Callahan (The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Diety, The Kite Runner), and media design by Philip Allgeier (The Glory of the World, Dracula).

Actors Theatre is committed to providing an accessible theatregoing experience and offers an open captioned performance on Saturday, December 10 at 2 p.m. and an audio described performance onSunday, December 4 at 2 p.m. during the run of A Christmas Carol.
