Dear Harvey is a documentary-style play about the impact and legacy of Harvey Milk, California’s first openly gay elected official and groundbreaking activist, told through a series of speeches, historical documents, and verbatim interviews with the people who knew him. Spoken word combines with multimedia and music as an ensemble cast moves in and out of the identities of real-world figures whose lives were forever altered by Milk's too-short career. This moving play is a tribute to the resilience of California history.
