Lyn Liechty and More Star in THE D* WORD in Jacksonville, Beg. Tonight

The D* Word - A Musical (*Ditched, Dumped, Divorced and Dating), the new party musical from the Creator/Writer of Menopause The Musical, Jeanie Linders, premieres at Jacksonville's Times-Union Center's Terry Theater tonight, October 4th, and runs through November 24th.

"The D* Word is a party show," said Linders. "The action spans the experiences of women (and men) of all ages who've experienced the joys and jerks of dating!"

The D* Word is Sex and the City meets Mamma Mia and has the appeal of being able to laugh out loud with your friends, no matter your current D* Word. The show features four lead actresses and one hunk bartender:

Lyn Liechty ("Erica") has originated leading roles in European and World Premier shows such as "Jekyll & Hyde," "Dance Of The Vampires," "Miss Saigon," and "Dracula." Lyn recorded and performed the DiAnne Warren hit "Here In My Heart" with the world-renowned rock group the Scorpions, which can be found on their Moment Of Glory Album. She has worked closely with Roman Polanski, Jim Steinman, Frank Wildhorn, Leslie Bricusse and Lionel Richie. Lyn's single "CaveMan!" charted at #11 on the Billboards Hot Singles Chart and the music video has over 1.6 Million views. Elise Arndt ("DeeDee") received her BA in Musical Theatre from American University and is a native of San Clemente, CA. Previous credits include: the premier of Briar Rose and the Thirteenth Fairy (Fanged Fairy) at the Jan Hus Theatre in New York City, Bare: A Pop Opera (Nadia), Measure for Measure (Mariana), The Who's Tommy (Minister's Wife), and multiple cabarets. She is thrilled to be joining the cast of The D* Word and to be sharing this experience with such an amazing cast and crew.

Christie Prades ("Kate") is a Cuban-American singer, songwriter, dancer and actress originally from Miami, Florida. She recently played the lead role of Vanessa in the "In the Heights" Miami production, as well as the lead role of Breeze in the independent film, "If You Only Knew." She has won several dance competitions on several shows including "Aqui Todos Ganan,'' and "El Show del Fernando." Christie has also been recognized for her choreography in several dance productions and, in order to remain versatile, continues to train with world renowned choreographers. Christie is currently recording and writing her own music in the studio with some of the top producers in the country.

Ashley Brooke ("Jen") is overjoyed to join the company of The D* Word. Regional credits include The Great American Trailer Park Musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, West Side Story, and the US regional premiere of Curtains. She has performed in numerous concerts and cabarets in Manhattan at the Metropolitan Room, The Duplex and the Triad. She has a BA in English from Queens College and is a proud graduate of the Circle in the Square Theater School.

The D* Word celebrated its world premiere in Orlando, FL earlier this year and became an instant success. The 90-minute show follows four single and single-again women who sing their way through the ups and downs of relationships with the aid of friendship, martinis and "Mojo Makeovers." With songs from I Will Survive and Just A Gigolo to Hot Stuff and Kelly Clarkson'sStronger, the show is a celebration of living life Happily EVEN After!

Tickets for The D* Word are currently available for performances from today, October 4th - October 27th.
