Gulfshore Playhouse kicks off their tenth anniversary year with the sexiest, funniest, most acclaimed new Broadway Play, Venus in Fur, playing October 4th through October 20th, with a Pay-What-You-Can preview on October 2nd and a $20 preview performance October 3rd.

David Ives's provocative new comedy is sure to leave you breathless! Demanding playwright-director Thomas is searching for the perfect actress to bring his new vision to life. Enter Vanda. Very late and seemingly clueless, she convinces Thomas to give her a shot to audition for him. What follows is an intelligent and hilarious show that explores the lines between fantasy and reality, seduction and power, love and lust. This one is definitely not to be missed!

Founder and Producing Artistic Director Kristen Coury will direct the production. "It has been a true treat exploring gender and power roles from 1870 until the present. This piece is an intense roller coast full of operatic emotions and big chewy issues to debate. Just my favorite kind!"

Nick Duckart is playing Thomas. Gulfshore Playhouse audiences may remember Nick from his role of Marco in A View From the Bridge. Nick's past credits include LaLolla Playhouse, NYMF, North Carolina Theatre, Actors' Playhouse, Palm Beach Dramaworks, GableStage, Caldwell Theatre, Florida Stage, Arts Garage, Broward Stage Door, City Theatre, and more. He was also a vocalist for Ricky Martin's album, Musica+Alma+Sexo.

Kelley Curran is playing Vanda in her Gulfshore Playhouse debut. Kelley appeared in Off-Broadway productions including The Atmosphere of Memory (LAByrinth, dir. Pam MacKinnon), Angels In America (Signature, dir. Michael Greif), Knives & Spoons Go on the Right (59East59), Henry V, The Tempest, Moby Dick - Rehearsed, Jane Eyre, The Spy (The Acting Company), as well as worked with The Shakespeare Society and Exit Pursued By Bear. Regionally, Kelley has been in shows including Clybourne Park, Anna Karenina, Cymbeline (Portland Center Stage), As You Like It, Romeo & Juliet (Shakespeare & Company), Henry V (The Guthrie), Hamlet, All's Well That Ends Well (Alabama Shakespeare Festival), & multiple plays with The Barnstormers. Kelley also appeared in the films Dear Santa and Still on the Road.
