Cast and Creative team for Sweeney Todd:The Demon Barber of Fleet Street at The Candlelight Theatre
Directed by Bob Kelly, Sweeney Todd features Patrick O’Hara who returns to Candlelight as Sweeney Todd, the barber. O’Hara was last seen at Candlelight in Thoroughly Modern Mille as Trevor Graydon and is a Barrymore nominee for his portrayal of Amos in Chicago. Catherine Ard is Mrs. Lovett, the pie shop owner; Zachary Chiero (Candlelight’s Finch in How to Succeed... and Billy Lawlor in Anything Goes) is Anthony Hope; Joelle Teeter is Joanna; Anthony Connell (seen at Candlelight as Dr. Frankenstein in Young Frankenstein, Motel Kamzoil in Fiddler, and Leo Bloom in The Producers) is Tobias Ragg; David Wills (Teyve in Fiddler, Max Bialystock in The Producers) is Judge Turpin; Theo Wampler is the Beadle; Patrick Ruegsegger is Adolfo Pirelli (Wilmington Drama League -The Baker in Into the Woods and Pirelli in Sweeney); Gerri Weagraff (Golde in Candlelight’s Fiddler as well as the 2011/2012 national tour of Fiddler) as the Beggar Woman; and Barry Gomolka (Ebeneezer Scooge in A Christmas Carol) as Jonas Fogg. The ensemble is rounded out with Candlelight veterans Lindsay Mauck, Brigid Rose, Erin Waldie, Jordan O’Brien, Timothy Cannon, Stephen Dagrosa, Topher Layton, David McConney and Ricky Rotandi.
