The familiar story of "Miracle on 34th Street" takes the audience to New York City where Macy's competes with Gimbel's, shoppers push, shove and fight over toys, and sometimes even a department store Santa might over-imbibe. However, even in the bustling city, miracles can happen and the holidays can become a time of loving and sharing when the real Santa Claus comes on the scene.

No one knows how Kris Kringle himself suddenly appears at the famous Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, but when he dons the trademark red suit and takes the reins in the reindeer drawn sleigh, magic is in the air in NYC. The Meredith Willson score sets clowns, marching bands and nursery rhyme characters dancing and singing along the parade route.

In no time, that same Kris Kringle is hired as Macy's Santa, and before Black Friday, Kris Kringle has all of Macy's employees and customers singing "Here's Love." If Macy and Gimbel can shake hands and send shoppers from store to store for Christmas toy specials, can Kris Kringle convince the judiciary of NYC that he is the one and only true Santa?

Add the the romantic mystery of whether Macy's assistant manager Doris can be convinced of Kris' authenticity and of the reality of love in her own life. Meanwhile, Doris' precocious daughter Susan weighs in as she begins to believe in the illogical existence of the real Santa and the hope for a husband for her mom and a dad for her.

This "Miracle on 34th Street, the Musical" is a holiday gift for the whole family.
