Beginning on Christmas Eve 1968 and ending a year later, "Snow" depicts a tumultuous year in the lives of two young people in Greenwich Village, New York. A modern, adult twist on Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen, it tells the story of the friendship between Georgia, a single, pregnant art student and Raven, a would-be musician, reluctantly admitting he is gay. Their friendship blossoms against a backdrop of drugs, Woodstock, Stonewall and the Vietnam War. The folk rock score is inspired by Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and other singer-songwriters of the period. Snow celebrates the end of the sixties, and explores the impact on the lives of those living in them.
