The Warner Stage Company will present Damn Yankees, today, July 12-21 at the Warner's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre.

Set in the 1950s in Washington, D.C., during a time when the New York Yankees dominated Major League Baseball,Damn Yankees is based on Douglass Wallop's novel The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant.

Middle-aged real estate agent Joe Boyd (played by Johnson Flucker) sells his soul to the devil, Mr. Applegate (Walter Cramer), for "one good Long ball hitter" for his team, the Washington Senators. Mr. Applegate grants his wish, turning him into a 22 year old sports superstar who must go back to his wife (Jeannine Gallmeyer) before 9 pm on the final game day if he doesn't want Mr. Applegate to get his soul.

The Warner Stage Company's production is directed by Vincent McCoy with musical director E. Karl Gallmeyer and choreographer Trisha Carr. Performances are tonight, July 12 and Friday, July 19 at 8pm, Saturday, July 13 & 20 at 8pm and Sunday, July 14 & 21 at 2pm.
