Where can you see 31 Broadway shows in one hilarious evening? The Connecticut Cabaret Theatre is pleased to announce its production of the musical theatre version of Saturday Night Live, FORBIDDEN BROADWAY, directed and produced by Kris McMurray, musically directed by Rebecca Francis and created and Written by Gerard Alessandrini. In this long-running Off-Broadway hit musical revue Broadway's greatest musical legends meet Broadway's greatest satirist in this hilarious, loving, and endlessly entertaining tribute to some of the theatre's greatest stars and songwriters. Your favorite shows... Wicked, Les Miserables, Chicago, Annie, Cats, Mamma Mia, The Phantom of the Opera. Your favorite stars... Liza Minnelli, Carol Channing, Ethel Merman, Michael Crawford, Julie Andrews... Nothing is sacred to the sharp wit and barbed satire from Forbidden Broadway.

Artistic Director Kris McMurray has assembled a talented and comedic cast to play, impersonate and spoof various stars and Broadway shows. Rebecca Francis musically directs and plays onstage with the cast as she tinkles her way through some familiar tunes. Cindy Lesser and Bryna Kearney, both possessing powerful voices command roles like Carol Channing, Barbra Streisand and Liza Minnelli. Matthew Collin Marrero and Ian Galligan, round out the team attacking several characters such as Stephen Sondheim, Michael Crawford and Harvey Fierstein and shows like Les Miserables and Spamalot. These four talented performers come together to create a hilarious evening of parodies. Not a show to miss.

We do have a small dessert bar that provides a variety of treats and beverages to purchase as well.
