It's a night of bi-partisan hilarity in "What to Expect When You're Electing" with The Capitol Steps at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Wednesday, August 31 at 8 p.m. Whether you lean to the left or lean to the right, if you have any interest in our presidential election, you must see the Capitol Steps! This show "puts the MOCK in Democracy," and is ripe with fresh content from the Republican and Democratic Conventions. For more than 30 years, these political satirists have been putting politics and scandal to music. Bone up on your politics with tongue-in-cheek spoonerisms to cutting-edge political satire and clever song parodies as they hurl unbiased barbs at both sides of the aisle. At this Clark Construction Comedy Series and Ridgefield Magazine Broadway and Cabaret Series performance, partially underwritten by Adam Broderick Salon & Spa, author John Patrick will be in the lobby signing copies of his new book "Election Attitude - How Internet Voting Leads to a Stronger Democracy."

A portion of the proceeds support the Ridgefield Playhouse Arts for Everyone Outreach Program. Make it a great night out with dinner and a show! Visit Dog & Pony (378 Main Street, Ridgefield) and enjoy a free glass of house wine or draft beer with your entree when you show your ticket! Media sponsor for this event is WSHU Public Radio 91.1 fm.

For tickets ($55), call the box office at 203-438-5795, or visit ridgefieldplayhouse.org. The Ridgefield Playhouse is a non-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
