Stamford's Palace Theatre will be hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive for the second year in a row on Sunday, March 23rd from 10:00am-3:15pm at 61 Atlantic Street. For more information or to make an appointment to donate, visit www.redcrossblood.org and click on the Make a Blood Donation Appointment box in the upper right hand corner of the page.

All those who come in to donate blood will be entered for a chance to win a pair of tickets to Il Volo at the Palace Theatre on June 14th as a special thank you. Prizes are not redeemable for cash and are non-transferable.

"The Palace is very happy to be working with the American Red Cross again and helping to support their mission to provide lifesaving blood to patients in need," said BT McNicholl, producing artistic director at The Palace. "We encourage eligible donors to join us and help support the community blood supply by donating blood with the American Red Cross at the Palace Theatre on March 23rd."

Blood is needed every day for patients in need. In the U.S., every two seconds someone needs blood. That patient could be a mother in childbirth, a newborn baby, a trauma victim or a cancer patient. The Red Cross collects and processes about 40% of the nation's blood supply. The American Red Cross Blood Services Region must collect approximately 650 units of blood donations each day to meet the needs of patients in our area.

If you have questions about directions or parking, visit SCA's website at www.SCAlive.org. To schedule an appointment to donate blood at The Palace on March 23rd, go to www.redcrossblood.org.

Discount parking for only $3 is available across the street from the Palace Theatre at Landmark Square Garage. See SCALIVE.ORG for details.
