Want a different way to spend a weeknight this summer? The Ridgefield Playhouse has got just the ticket. It's the ALL WORK ALL PLAY: The Pursuit of eSports Glory LIVE in HD film event on Tuesday, July 21, at 8:30 p.m., followed by a live gaming broadcast hosted from ESL Studio's in Cologne, Germany, produced by BY Experience & ESL Presents. This LIVE video gaming hybrid event for cinema features the first of its kind eSports documentary about the Intel Extreme Masters. ALL WORK ALL PLAY: The Pursuit of eSports Glory LIVE takes viewers on a journey following Season Nine of the Intel Extreme Masters, a global pro-gaming tour that takes the hottest teams and players all around the world to compete for the championship title in their respective eSports. The documentary will be followed by a highly entertaining live eSports showdown between the filmmakers, subjects from the film, and members of the live audience. The live event will be hosted by a major sports caster personality.

"Watching top gamers compete has become a truly entertaining experience. We are excited to take this from individual computer screens to the big screen for the gaming community to experience it together," said Fathom Events VP of Programming Kymberli Freuh-Owens. "This event offers fans a behind-the-scenes look at some of the greatest gaming teams in the world and provides exclusive live panel discussion and gaming demos."

This live event spotlights the flourishing eSports scene, taking it from the underground into the mainstream. Players as young as seventeen are dropping everything to "go pro", throwing all they have into a "do-or-die" race for the grand prize. Players and promoters have a common goal: to ensure eSports remains more than a bright, burning fad. It's up to them to turn it into the sport of the future. "eSports is here and it's here to stay," said award-winning filmmaker Patrick Creadon, director of "ALL WORK ALL PLAY". "Our film offers an up close and personal look at this global phenomenon and provides a thrilling experience for gamers and non-gamers alike."
