For the first time, Playhouse On Park, in partnership with Bated Breath Theatre Company, invites aspiring and experienced writers to explore their talents in a special Playwriting Workshop with Michael Bradford.

This 6-class playwriting workshop is a great opportunity for novice and seasoned writers to explore the craft and creative process of penning a work for the stage while building an understanding of genre, style, rhythm, and structure. The workshop setting is the ideal atmosphere to not only have your work heard, but to have an open forum for constructive critiques and non-judgmental conversation as well.

An Associate Professor of Dramatic Arts at the University of Connecticut, Bradford teaches the history of theatre, dramatic literature, and playwriting, and has held several notable residences throughout the Northeast including the Manhattan Theatre Club Playwright Fellowship and the New York Stage and Film Company Residency at Vassar, NY. His plays include LIVING IN THE WIND (10 AUDELCO Theatre Award Nominations), WILLY'S CUT AND SHINE (JEFF Nomination for Best Play), FATHERS AND SONS (published by Broadway Play Publishing), and AMALIA'S STORY (THE PARKVILLE PROJECT).

The session runs June 25th through July 30th, with class every Monday from 6 - 8:30pm. $150 per person for the entire session. Advanced registration required. Visit www.playhouseonpark.org or call 860-523-5900 ext. 10 for more information and registration forms.
