Jackie Maxwell, Frank Derico & Kate Costello Set for STATE OF THE ARTS on WPKN-FM This Week

JACKIE MAXWELL, FRANK DERICO and KATE COSTELLO step-up-to-the-mic for this week's (Friday, April 29) State of the ARTS which airs LIVE every Friday from 12noon to 1pm on WPKN-FM (89.5) in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Co-hosts of the weekly arts & entertainment program are Richard Pheneger and Peggy Nelson.

Jackie Maxwell, will talk about her final season as Artistic Director of the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. With ten productions each year performed in four theatres for an audience of more than 250,000, the Shaw Festival has grown to become a major international cultural icon, a gem with its rich cultural heritage.

Frank Derico, Executive Director of Neighborhood Studios of Fairfield County (NSFC), will host the world renowned Ailey II Dance Company in a Gala Benefit on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at the Quick Center on the campus of Fairfield University. Proceeds from the Gala help fund NSFC's arts education programs.

Kate Costello comprises a trio of actors appearing in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) playing now through May 7, 2016 and presented by the Goshen Players in Goshen, Connecticut. In addition to acting, Kate is a professor at Naugatuck Valley Community College and Southern Connecticut State University.
