Comedy Series At Playhouse On Park Continues In February

It's our first Comedy Night of 2019 and we're ready to deliver the laughs! Tickets are now on sale for the show featuring co-headliners Oscar Collazos and Marion Grodin on Saturday, February 9 at 8pm.

New York City comedian Oscar Collazos originally hails from Cali, Colombia. Oscar spent his childhood in Miami, Florida and for the last 15 years has traveled the world spreading his twisted views, unique humor and crazy immigrant family stories. Oscar has been featured on XM/Sirius Radio and appeared on ESPN and Comedy Central commercials as well as smaller roles in movies and television. You can find him entertaining audiences inside comedy clubs and all the way to legendary places like the Apollo Theater as well as working alongside comedy greats such as Tracy Morgan, Daniel Tosh, Bruce Bruce and many others.

Professionally trained at the prestigious Upright Citizens Brigade, Oscar is an excellent improviser who has gone on to win multiple comedy contests - most recently the Seminole Hard Rock Casino Comedian's Ball in Southwest Florida that featured a $7,000 first-place prize. In typical comedian fashion, that money lasted less than a week and he has absolutely nothing to show for it. Oscar also loves cats.

For the last decade, Marion Grodin has been one of the hottest comics in the country. She is a favorite at New York City's top clubs, including Standup NY and Gotham Comedy Club, where she regularly headlines. As one of the country's top emcees, Marion's incredible ability to improvise has allowed her to master the art of talking with the audience. Marion has toured with Linda Ronstadt, opened for Lewis Black, Judy Gold, and Robert Klein, as well as having shared the stage with Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, Roseanne Barr and Robin Williams. Marion has also been seen on The Joy Behar Show, NBC's Late Night with Conan O'Brien, and ABC's The View. Marion knows firsthand that laughter is truly the best medicine, having survived breast cancer, divorce, and various addictions - including an inappropriate relationship with Häagen Dazs. Her dream is to be able to integrate her life experiences, concern for people, and unstoppable ability to make EVERYTHING funny...in a forum that would be both entertaining and helpful to other people.

Tickets are $15, all seats reserved. This event is BYOB! For tickets, call the Playhouse box office at 860-523-5900 x10 or visit www.playhouseonpark.org. Playhouse on Park is located at 244 Park Road, West Hartford, CT 06119.
