Szymanowski - Poland Quartet
Comprised of violinists Andrej Bielow and Grzegorz Kotow, the violist Vladimir Mykitka and the cellist Marcin Sieniawski. The four studied chamber music at the Conservatory of music and theatre in Hanover with Hatto Beyerle who was also his mentor.
Among the numerous awards received, this ensemble won the Szymanowski Prize, awarded by the Foundation Karol Szymanowski in Warsaw, which was awarded to a String Quartet for the first time in its history. Several recordings recorded the versatility of the set, including those made by the BBC in different seasons and the seals stand out Hyperion and Avie. His recent recordings include the CD with works by Haydn, Bacewicz and Dvorak for Avie and a CD entitled Pure Desmond presenting as a crossover between jazz and classical music.
