In light of the historic celebration planned for the city of Cleveland tomorrow, Playhouse Square has rescheduled the Wednesday, June 22 performances of The Phantom of the Opera and Steel Magnolias. There will be no performances at Playhouse Square on June 22 and the Playhouse Square offices will be closed.

The June 22 performance of The Phantom of the Opera has been rescheduled for Monday, June 27 at 8 p.m. Ticket holders may use their existing June 22 tickets for the rescheduled performance and are encouraged to wear their wine and gold!

Guests with tickets for the June 22 performance of Steel Magnolias may exchange into another performance by calling 216-664-6050 or by bringing their original tickets to the Playhouse Square Ticket Office at 1519 Euclid Avenue beginning Thursday, June 23 at 9 a.m. Steel Magnolias runs through August 21.

"This is an historic moment for the city of Cleveland, one we have been anticipating for more than 50 years and we know everyone wants to celebrate in some way," said Gina Vernaci, Executive Producer at Playhouse Square. "It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate the end of the five-decade long curse. Joining us are the companies of The Phantom of the Opera and Steel Magnolias as we all share in Cleveland's joy. Ticket holders are being notified of the rescheduled performances. We hope everyone enjoys tomorrow's celebration however they choose to do so. Go Cavs!"
