Chicago Theatre Week Continued returns with over 30 shows throughout the city and suburbs, including seven productions from Broadway In Chicago. Tickets go on sale Monday, February 19 at 10am at HotTix.org.
American Blues Theater, under the continued leadership of Artistic Director Gwendolyn Whiteside, presents the live, online reading of The Lion written and performed by Ensemble member Manny Buckley, as part of “The Room” series. The reading will be live on Friday, January 15 at 7pm Central. The 75-minute reading will be followed by a group discussion.
American Blues Theater will present the live, online reading of Red Bike, written by Caridad Svich, directed by Lavina Jadhwani, and starring August Forman, as part of “The Room” series. The reading will be live on Wednesday, December 9 at 7pm Central. The 75-minute reading will be followed by a group discussion.
Porchlight Music Theatre's final production in its 2018 - 2019 'lost' musicals in staged concert series is Porchlight Revisits Minnie's Boys, with book by Groucho Marx's son Arthur Marx and Robert Fisher, music by Larry Grossman and lyrics by Hal Hackady with direction and choreography by Christopher Pazdernik and musical direction by Christie Chiles Twille. Porchlight Revisits Minnie's Boys is presented for three performances Wednesday, May 22 at 7:30 p.m. and Thursday, March 23 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at The Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street.
