Light Opera Works is currently taking applications for the summer youth production of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. Rehearsals are July 30 through August 15, at the Light Opera Works rehearsal center in Wilmette. The free public performance is Saturday, August 16, at 2 pm at Cahn Auditorium in Evanston.

Each role will be individually cast based on auditions. Teens 13 to 18 will prepare a special shortened adaptation of the Broadway classic FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and present a public performance with costumes, sound and lights on a professional set at Cahn Auditorium (home of the Light Opera Works adult production of FIDDLER in August, 2014).

Cost is $1200 per student. A $50 audition fee is due with registration, which will be refunded if the child is cast. If child is not cast, the $50 will be refunded. If child is cast and does not accept the role, the audition fee will not be refunded.

Director/choreographer is Caryn Ott Hillman, musical director is Christopher Richard and stage manager is Anya Plotkin, all veterans of the Light Opera Works Summer Musical Theater Workshop.

Information/registration is available at www.LightOperaWorks.com/workshop.html or by calling (847) 920-5360.
