Remy Bumppo Theatre Company has named Amy Schultz to the newly-created position of General Manager.

Schultz has been Business and Operations Manager for the Equity company since 2009. A recipient of B.S. and M.S. degrees from Purdue University, she had been an accountant for Community Accounting Services, LLC, before joining Remy Bumppo. A Pittsburgh native, Schultz has also performed on Chicago stages since moving here in 2004.

"Amy has exceptional administrative and business skills, so it makes total sense to promote her to General Manager," said Remy Bumppo Artistic Director Nick Sandys."I think she'll be a great team leader for the company. I am always excited to be able to reward those who have shown great dedication to the company and who will represent the best of our values going forward."

Remy Bumppo, "Think Theatre," will begin its 17th season in October, with Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey. It is one of Chicago's premier mid-sized theatre companies, having received a Jeff Award for Best Production for its 2011 performance of Edward Albee's The Goat or, Who Is Sylvia?

More information about the company and its productions may be found at www.remybumppo.org.
