The American Demigods, in conjunction with the Chicago Musical Theater present Fanatical: A Science Fiction Convention Musical, a new musical with music and lyrics by Matt Board and book by Reina Hardy. Directed by Kate Staiger with musical direction by Ellen Morris.

"Angel 8" is a cult science fiction TV show. It's also a lifestyle. To the fans gathered at the first-ever "Angel 8" convention, it's EVERYTHING. But when the unthinkable happens during show creator Scott Furnish's long-awaited keynote address, this group of lovable misfits must band together to prove that no power in the 'verse can keep a story from its fans.

Matt Board's previous musical Austentatious was called "sharp, funny and occasionally moving" by the Calgary Herald, and "very funny" by the New York Times.

Reina Hardy's play Stars and Barmen was called "hysterical, sweet and wonderfully original" by Broadwayworld and her Glassheart was called "enchanting, funny and thought provoking" by the Washingtonian.

Fanatical will be performed at The Den Theater (1333 N. Milwaukee) on the following dates:

TONIGHT, June 30, 2015 7:30 PM
Sunday, July 05, 2015 7:00 PM

Wednesday, July 15, 2015 9:30 PM
