The Ochre House and The 2014 Dallas Flamenco Festival, in collaboration with Teatro LATEA are excited to present the New York premiere of PERRO Y SANGRE (Dog and Blood), written and directed by Matthew Posey. In PERRO Y SANGRE, Young Earnest Hemmingway finds himself on the porch in the small village of Baeza, Spain, where he is told the story of a Bully, “El Matón de Baeza” and his vicious dog who terrorize the village. How El Matón comes to die is the village’s secret. “Triana”, the Bully’s wife, captivates Hemmingway with her gypsy lure as she weaves her story of greed and seduction.
Acclaimed international flamenco performers: Antonio Arrebola(Spain), José Vega Jurado(Spain), and José Cortés Fernandéz(France), along with the Artistic Director of the Dallas Flamenco Festival and Dallas treasure, Delilah Buitrón “Delilah Muse”, partner with the talented performers of the Dallas-based Ochre House Theater to create an evening of unforgettable flamenco and drama.
