At 2:00pm on Sunday October 30, the Blue Horse Repertory Company ("Three by Tennessee", "Leading Ladies") will perform TODAY'S BRECHT, a special benefit reading of two of Bertolt Brecht's short plays, "The Jewish Wife" and "The Informer", and some of the author's poetry and music from the period of their composition. Presented as a benefit for Bridge Street Theatre, TODAY'S BRECHT will be directed by Andrew Joffe and will feature actors Stephen Jones, Jody Satriani, Lora Lee Ecobelli, Caleb Brady, and James Shearwood.

Written during his exile from Germany (1933-1947), these plays were originally part of a larger collection of scenes called "Fear and Miseries of the Third Reich" or, as they were known when they were first produced in New York City in 1944, "The Private Life of the Master Race". Timely and provocative, the plays cast an eerie shadow on today's social issues.

Tickets for TODAY'S BRECHT go on sale at the door 45-minutes prior to the performance. Bridge Street Theatre is located at 44 West Bridge Street in the Village of Catskill, NY. For more information, visit the theatre online at BridgeSt.org.
