The Mac-Haydn Theatre (MHT) opens their 49th season of musical theatre in-the-round with the Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber classic Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat like you have never seen it before! This will be the eighth-time Joseph...Dreamcoat has been seen on the MHT stage and the first since 2009.

The 1982 TONY nominated show for "Best Musical" stars a Mac-Haydn favorite in Laura Helm as Narrator. Laura recently finished performing in the National Tour of Joseph...Dreamcoat in the same role. She was last seen on the MHT stage in 2015 as Maureen in Rent.

Alex Carr, a current student at Montclair State University, is making his MHT debut as the leading role of Joseph. A blast from MHT's past in Ryan Owens returns to play Jacob, Pharoah and Potiphar. Ryan was a company member in 2009.

Bryan Knowlton (Choreographer My Fair Lady in 2016) returns as the director and choreographer. Bryan was the recipient of the 2016 New Hampshire Theatre Award for "Best Choreographer" for Lake Winnipesaukee Playhouse's production of Cabaret.

Rounding out the cast is: Steffany Pratt as Mrs. Potiphar, Dakota Dutcher, Chris Hendricks, Ross Flores, Sebastiani Romagnolo, Dan Macke, Stephen Kallas, Bryce McAllister, Patrick Heffernan, Quinn Corcoran, Connor Hubbard, and Sam Pickart as Joseph's brothers, Megan Hasse, Sophia Tzougros, Laura Erle, Zachary Emerson and Glenn Balli.

The show is under the music direction of David Maglione. Kevin Gleason set designs, Jimm Halliday costume designs, Megan McQueeney designs the props and Ethan Carleton sound designs. Chris Hendricks is the assistant to the choreographer.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat runs on Mac-Haydn's stage from May 25 to June 4.

Founded in 1969 by Lynne Haydn and Linda MacNish, The Mac-Haydn Theatre has been bringing artists from all around the country to the town of Chatham, NY (perfectly place in between the Berkshires, the New York Capital and the Catskill Region) each summer to produce classic and modern musicals in-the-round.
