Continuing its Mainstage Season, the Hangar Theatre will present The Hound of the Baskervilles, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, adapted by Steven Canny and John Nicholson. This production will be directed by Mark Shanahan, who made his Hangar Theatre directing debut with last season's production of Other Desert Cities. This family friendly show will run from July 16, until July 25, 2015. Join the cast, crew, and Hangar staff on opening night, Friday, July 17 at 8pm at the Hangar Theatre located at 801 Taughannock Blvd, Ithaca, NY 14850 in Cass Park.

In this adaption of the classic Sherlock Holmes tale, the story is told as a play within a play. Three actors play all the roles in the story, relying on costumes, props, and a little imagination to make the story come to life. In this show, Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson journey to the English country side to investigate the case of the Baskerville family. A strange, unknown force is killing off the male heirs of the Baskervilles family one by one and it is up to Holmes and Watson to discover who, or what is responsible.

Making their return to the Hangar stage, Steve Pacek and Bruce Warren join the cast after their show stopping performance in the cult classic musical Little Shop of Horrors last sumer. Pacek performed the down on his luck florist Seymour Krelborn, and Warren played the hilarious dentist, Orin Scrivello, DDS. The two are joined by Dan Damingues who is making his Hangar Theatre debut. While this is the first time Damingues will be performing at the Hangar, he is no stranger to the role or the play. He has performed in The Hound of the Baskervilles at both The Cape Playhouse and Weston Playhouse. The three work together seamlessly to tell this story.

This is not director Mark Shanahan's first time with the play either. He has directed the show across the country, receiving great feedback from reviewers and audiences. "Perfectly directed by Mark Shanahan...Ridiculously funny...you almost need to see this show twice..." mentioned by the Barnstable Patriot in regards to the production at the Cape Playhouse (also starring Dan Damingues).
