Wes Bentley Joins Ryan Murphy's HBO Pilot

TVline reports that Wes Bentley has joined the cast of an HBO drama pilot from Glee creator Ryan Murphy. The project, titled OPEN, was co-written by Murphy and Lauren Gussis.

OPEN follows five provocative characters, including a "thirtysomething married couple, the husband's male co-worker and a female yoga professional in her 40s." Bentley will take on the role of Evan Foster, described as "a good-looking but arrogant guy who won't shut up when it comes to his theories about human sexuality."

The actor known for his roles of Ricky Fitts in American Beauty(1999) and Seneca Crane in The Hunger Games (2012). He was one of four subjects in the documentary My Big Break (2009), which covered his fame after American Beauty and struggles with substance abuse.

He also starred in the premiere of Venus in Fur by David Ives in the off-Broadway production in 2010, whose run was extended. Most recently, he appeared as gamemaker Seneca Crane in The Hunger Games movie.
