William Shatner from the legendary series "Star Trek" stopped by CBS's THE TALK to explain how his co-star, the late Leonard Nimoy, came up with the "Vulcan nerve pinch" saying, "He just created it on the moment, it was truly an actors wonderful creative instinct, we were in a fight sequence and...he [Leonard Nimoy] doesn't want to fight", Aisha Tyler chimes in excitedly, realizing "he gave himself a superpower!" and William Shatner agrees, "that's right and it worked beautifully!"

CBS’s Daytime Emmy Award-nominated talk show THE TALK features a panel of well-known news and entertainment personalities discussing current events, pop culture, contemporary issues, family, celebrity and the trending topics of the day. The daily one-hour series is hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood.

The hosts swap stories, challenge each other on issues and engage the studio audience and viewers at home about events in the headlines and their own homes. Show segments include guest interviews with entertainers and newsmakers, musical performances, cooking demos with celebrity chefs as well as real-world advice and tips from leading experts in fitness, diet, health, home, relationships, finance and fashion. The show was developed by Gilbert, who also serves as executive producer.
