The character has been referenced in past seasons as being instrumental in Sherlock's first stint in rehab three years ago and in pairing his son with Joan Watson, his former sober companion, now his current investigative partner and friend. In the Season Four premiere, Mr. Holmes arrives in New York City to deal with the aftermath of his son's recent relapse.

ELEMENTARY stars Jonny Lee Miller, Lucy Liu, Aidan Quinn and Jon Michael Hill and airs Thursdays (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. During the 2014-2015 season, the series was a proven performer in its time period and added 4 million viewers in DVR playback every week.
