VIDEO: John Oliver Weighs In on Trump/Miss Universe Controversy & More on LAST WEEK

Presenting a satirical look at the week in news, politics and current events, as well as addressing broader issues, the Emmy®-winning LAST WEEK TONIGHT WITH JOHN OLIVER continues its third season SUNDAY, OCT. 2 (11:30 p.m.-midnight ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.

On last night's show, the moment we've been waiting for since the first presidential debate finally arrived, with John Oliver's take on it on Last Week Tonight. He opened the show on Sunday night with a discussion on the debate, as well as Donald Trump's bizarre response, including his insistence that he won the debate based on unscientific polls. But it was John Oliver's segment on Trump and Alicia Machado that furthermore demonstrated Trump's long history of comments about women.Check out clips below!

The show is the only weekly news-oriented comedy series to be presented on Sunday night. Taped in New York a few hours before it debuts on HBO, the show features a mix of Oliver's topical commentary, pre-taped pieces and occasional guests.

LAST WEEK TONIGHT WITH JOHN OLIVER recently received three Primetime Emmys®, including Outstanding Variety Talk Series, Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series and Outstanding Picture Editing for Variety Programming.

In 2015, the show received an Emmy® in the category of Outstanding Interactive Program. The show was honored at the 21st Critics Choice Awards in the category of Best Talk Show, and received a Peabody Award, as well as Writers Guild Award in the category of Comedy/Variety (Including Talk)?-?Series.

The series has already been renewed for a fourth season, scheduled for 2017.
