Dax Shepard stopped by yesterday's ELLEN and gushed over the arrival of his second child with actress Kristen Bell, a daughter named Delta. The actor talked about the origin of the unusual name explaining, "It was a joke because our first daughter's name is Lincoln, which is very masculine. So, a friend of mine teasingly texted me: 'Oh, great! What's this one gonna be? Navy Seal? Delta Force? Green Burette?'"

"I was reading this text out loud to Kristen. And I said, 'Oh, Louis Steve said what if we named her Delta?' Delta! Delta Bell Sheppard! That's it!'" the 40-year-old PARENTHOOD actor told the TV host. "And that's it!"

Of his wife's labor, Shepard commented, "Kristen, god bless her was in labor for 33 hours. It was incredible." Watch the appearance below!
