Telemundo to Launch New Variety Show LA SORPRESA DE TU VIDA This Fall

Telemundo announces "La Sorpresa de Tu Vida" (The Surprise of Your Life), a weekly two-hour, family-oriented Saturday night show to be hosted by actress, singer and comedian Angelica Vale and multi-talented and dynamic Hispanic television star Raul Gonzalez. Slated to premiere next season, the new entertainment program will offer viewers the opportunity to share and be part of making their loved ones' dreams come true, as they present their testimonials and real life, heart-warming stories. Special guests, celebrities and the studio audience will witness how contestants are surprised to fulfill their dreams, in a highly interactive show featuring games, music and humor segments.

"We identified an opportunity on Saturday nights a while ago and took our time to develop the right concept and identify the right talent. Angelica and Raul are the perfect hosts for this modern, interactive format that will appeal to the whole Hispanic family."

"La Sorpresa de tu Vida" becomes Angelica Vale's debut on TELEMUNDO. Vale brings to the show, over 30 years of experience having started in the entertainment world at a young age. The renowned Mexican star jumped into global stardom when starring "La Fea Mas Bella" (The Prettiest Ugly Girl) in 2006, a Mexican telenovela with her real-life mother, Mexican icon, Angelica Maria. Her career includes credits in numerous films, theater, TV shows and series, top telenovelas and music productions, as well as numerous awards and recognitions from the industry.

A prolific television writer, producer and host, Raul Gonzalez is one of the best-known personalities in U.S. Hispanic television. He has co-hosted several Telemundo specials, including the live broadcast of "Miss Universe®" this year, the network's Christmas special "Celebremos Juntos en esta Navidad", as well as the "Latin Billboard Music Awards" in 2014, and the red carpet special this year. Raul's career includes multiple theater and music productions, top-rated radio and television shows, in addition to receiving important awards in both his native country Venezuela and in the United States. Gonzalez has been named "Best Television Host" by People en Español twice and most recently was co-host of Univision's morning show "Despierta America.
