TLC Confirms New Cake Boss Competition Series

Anyone who's watched an episode of TLC's hit series CAKE BOSS has dreamt of working alongside the Valastro family as they create the most mouthwatering treats on television. And now, there's a new 'help wanted' sign hanging in the window of family's bakery. TLC today confirms that CAKE BOSS, which is hotter than ever, is launching a spin-off a new competition elimination series to find the best rising baker in the business.

Starring Buddy Valastro, the eight episode series will follow along as 10 aspiring cake makers compete in a series of challenges that will reveal if they have what it takes to run a shop as successful as Buddy's. The series will culminate in the sweet prize of winning an apprenticeship at Hoboken, NJ-basEd Carlo's Bakery, the setting of TLC's CAKE BOSS.

High Noon Entertainment is producing the series for TLC. Shooting is expected to begin in September and the series is currently scheduled to premiere in December.

CAKE BOSS, currently airing its third season Mondays at 9p on TLC, averages 1.9 million viewers (P2+). The series takes viewers inside the bustling Carlo's Bakery, where master baker Buddy Valastro blends old-world recipes and modern decorating techniques to create mouthwatering cakes, cookies, pastries, and more.
