TBS's CONAN to Air Week of Shows from Comic-Con 2015
TBS's late-night show Conan will be heading to San Diego July 8-12, 2015 for a week of shows during Comic-Con® International. This marks the first time a late-night show has broadcast from San Diego during the wildly successful event. Conan will broadcast a week of shows from the historic Spreckels Theater in downtown San Diego.
Conan airs Monday-Thursday at 11 p.m. (ET/PT) on TBS. The series, which earned an Emmy® for its innovative mobile app, is produced by Conaco LLC, with Jeff Ross serving as executive producer. The show originates from Stage 15 at Warner Bros. Studios.
Describing itself as a traditional late-night talk show, Conan draws its comedy from recent news stories, political figures and prominent celebrities, as well as aspects of the show itself. The show typically opens with a monologue from Conan O'Brien relating to recent headlines and frequently features exchanges with his sidekick, Andy Richter, and members of the audience.
The next segment is devoted to a celebrity interview, with guests ranging from actors and musicians to media personalities and political figures. The show then closes with either a musical or comedy performance.
