It's one of the most exciting and creative faith-based kids shows to come along in recent memory, and it's set to make its world television premiere Christmas week on Smile of a Child, Trinity Broadcasting Network's 24-7 channel for children of all ages.

It's the Telly and Accolade Award winning animated series Iesodo(YAY-sa-doe), with a cast of colorful and lovable birds who live in the big Cypress tree on the shores of Lake Galilee, and who share engaging New Testament stories that re-enforce the values parents want their children to learn, like loving one another, conquering fear, sharing, and being kind.

Featuring the wise and gentle dove Iesodo (Japanese for "the way of Jesus"), who models the message of the Savior in a winsome and engaging manner that especially appeals to children, Iesodo has won the praise and endorsement of a number of family groups and Christian leaders.

"Iesodo is terrific for children of all ages and presents the Gospel in a compelling way," said Ted Baehr of the faith-and-family movie site MovieGuide.com.

Dennis Rainey, CEO of FamilyLife, called the animated series "an instant classic" that brings "the story of Jesus to the kids of a sight and sound generation on their terms."

And Senior Pastor Michael Catt of Sherwood Baptist Church which has produced such popular Christian movies as Facing the Giants and Fireproof called Iesodo "a wonderful animated series" and "a positive faith-based tool for families and churches."

Iesodo will make its world television debut on Smile of a Child December 23rd at 2:30 p.m., December 24th at 8 a.m., and on Christmas Day at 8 p.m., featuring a special Christmas-themed episode entitled "Joy," that has the flock facing some obstacles as they prepare to celebrate the birthday of their teacher Iesodo.

And in January Smile of a Child will follow up with three more memorable Iesodo episodes, each using powerful allegory, compelling Bible stories, and unforgettable characters to highlight solid values children need for success in life.

"We are thrilled to bring the fun, warmth, and joy of Iesodo to families all over the world," said Brenda Rossman, program director for Smile of a Child. "With memorable characters, solidly biblical stories, and unparalleled production values, this is the kind of quality series that we're proud to add to our Smile of a Child program lineup."
