The show will feature almost 100 actors in its cast. Also among the talent are Andrew Buchan, Katherine Parkinson, Lubna Azbal and Tobias Menziesis.

The eight-part miniseries for BBC Worldwide is written and directed by Hugo Blick.

The series is a thriller centering on Nessa Stein (Gyllenhaal), who witnesses as a child her father's -- a Zionist arms supplier -- assassination. Stein inherits his company as an adult and uses the opportunity to provide arms to cabling networks between Israel and the West Bank instead. Stein is appointed to the House of Lords for her peace efforts between Israel and Palestine and finds herself at the center of a political controversy.

Stephen Rae's upcoming projects include Out of the Dark, Asylum and Styria. His TV credits include Utopia, The Shadow Line, Father & Son, Horrible Histories, Not with a Bang and more. Rae has appeared on Broadway in Someone Who'll Watch Over Me and in the West End in High Society. His other stage credits include Ages Of The Moon off-Broadway and more.

Lindsay Duncan will next appear in the feature Le Weekend. Past TV credits include Spy, White Heat, Come Fly with Me, Rome and more.

THE HONOURABLE WOMAN will begin filming in London on July 29 for a 2014 release on the Sundance Channel and BBC Two.
