Science Channel's WHAT ON EARTH? is Network's Most-Watched Series of All Time

Science Channel's WHAT ON EARTH? concluded its second season on March 1 and became the network's most watched series of all time with a season average of 794,000 Total Viewers P2+ in L+3.

The series grew over the season as the debut on Jan. 26 averaged 780,000 Total Viewers while the season finale, 'Hidden Tomb of Genghis Khan' averaged 832,000 Total Viewers on March 1 and broke into Science Channel's Top 15 most watched telecasts of all time (#13). It also tied for a series high rating among Persons 25-54 and Men 25-54.

During the season run on February 23, WHAT ON EARTH? broke into Science Channel's Top 10 most watched telecasts of all time (#8) with 878,000 total viewers (P2+).

WHAT ON EARTH? this season examined a selection of bizarre phenomena with the help of journalists, geophysicists, archaeologists, crime scene investigators and other experts. The series traveled to Vietnam, Peru and to the middle of the ocean to get to the bottom of images CAUGHT ON CAMERA by hundreds of eyes in the sky that range from seemingly odd geological occurrences and strange man-made structures to chance sightings of the unexplained. From what appeared to be a crime scene in Amsterdam found on Google Maps, to a massive black blob spotted in the ocean off the coast of the Florida Keys, WHAT ON EARTH? reminded viewers that sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction.

WHAT ON EARTH? is produced for Science Channel by Wag TV. For Wag TV, the executive producers are Greg Chivers and Martin Durkin and the series producer is Mike Ibeji. For Science Channel, Neil Laird is executive producer and Presley Adamson is associate producer.
