A producer of AMC's hit television show THE WALKING DEAD recently revealed that he does not think the show needs a satisfying ending.

"It's a journey, just like the comic book," Gale Anne Hurd said. "...The comic book is essentially a journey on the road. At times they find a temporary safe harbor, but because it's essentially an ensemble and the dynamics of the group are affected by who's part of it in any particular moment and they do split up from time to time that's how the stories evolve: who they encounter along the way, the choices that they make. But it really is a constantly evolving dynamic."

Hurd also revealed that they are not as concerned with the comics as they are with the characters' relational development.

She said, "No, I think that each season develops a different dynamic as well. There's so much that's fascinating in the interpersonal relationships in the comic book, that informs the show. And yet we always change it up."
