NBC Sports Group is providing unprecedented FIS WORLD CUP SKIING coverage this season, totaling more than 750 hours of linear and digital coverage spanning alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, nordic combined, freestyle skiing, SNOWBOARDING and ski jumping.
Coverage this season includes 50 hours on NBCSN, more than triple the amount that aired on the network during the 2015-16 FIS World Cup season, and more than 170 hours of combined coverage across NBC, NBCSN and Universal HD. This year's schedule is highlighted by the World Alpine Skiing Championships in St. Moritz, Switzerland, from Feb. 7-19, and the World Nordic Skiing Championships in Lahti, Finland, from Feb. 23-March 5. This weekend's FIS World Cup skiing action is highlighted by alpine skiing coverage. The men's event takes place in Adelboden, Switzerland, while the women's event will be held in Maribor, Slovenia. NBCSN will present live coverage of both events on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 6 a.m. ET. Next weekend, NBC will present same-day delay coverage of the FIS World Cup downhill on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 3 p.m. ET The FIS World Cup features numerous U.S. Olympians, including gold medalists Mikaela Shiffrin and Ted Ligety, as they and prepare for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.Videos
