NBC Sports to Present Coverage of TOUR DE SUISSE , Beg. 6/11

NBC Sports Group presents daily live coverage of the TOUR DE SUISSE , beginning with the Prologue in Baar, this Saturday, June 11, at 9:50 a.m. ET on NBC Sports Live Extra, with encore coverage Saturday at 3 p.m. ET on Universal HD. Coverage culminates Sunday, June 19, at 9:50 a.m. ET on NBC Sports Live Extra with the final stage. NBCSN presents encore coverage of the final stage Sunday at Noon ET.

The course for the 2016 Tour de Suisse weaves through mountains of Graubünden in Switzerland, including finishes in Leventina, Eastern Switzerland and on Rettenbach glacier in Sölden. Peter Sagan (Tinkoff) of Slovakia, who has 11 Tour de Suisse stage wins to his name, headlines the event along with 2008 Olympic gold medalist Fabian Cancellara (Trek-Segafredo) of Switzerland, and last year's runner-up Geraint Thomas (Team Sky) of Great Britain. Americans competing in the race include two-time USA Pro Cycling Challenge winner Tejay van Garderen (BMC), and 2014 Critérium du Dauphiné winner Andrew Talanksy (Cannondale Pro Cycling).

Veteran NBC Sports Group cycling announcer Paul Sherwen will call the Tour de Suisse. He will be joined by analyst and former professional cyclist Bob Roll.

In addition, NBC Sports Group's coverage of the Criterium du Dauphine continues this week, culminating Sunday, June 12, at 7:35 a.m. ET with the final stage on NBC Sports Live Extra (full schedule below). Steve Schlanger handles play-by-play for the Criterium du Dauphine, alongside analyst Christain Vande Velde.
